Shadows Are a Sanctuary for the Woman Who Is Not Ready Yet

I hear it every single day during my consultations. I will call when I lose ten pounds. I will inquire when life slows down. I am just not ready yet.

As a specialist in the Art of the Shadow, I want to tell you a secret. Confidence is not a requirement to walk into my studio. Confidence is the result of the session. If you wait until you feel perfect you will be waiting forever. Perfection is a commodity, and it is usually boring.

In my Titusville studio I work with survivors, professionals, and moms who are terrified of being exposed. That is why I do not use bright flat lights that show everything. I use cinematic shadow play. I use shadows as a sanctuary to hide the parts of yourself you are self conscious about, while the light finds your strength and your fire.
