Frequently Asked Questions About Boudoir Photography

Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions About Boudoir Photography

Women often express apprehension when considering a boudoir session, and they frequently seek more information. Through my conversations with clients, I have gathered a list of the 10 most commonly asked questions. This compilation can offer valuable guidance as you prepare for your upcoming boudoir session with me.

Are my images kept private or shared?

Our top priority is ensuring our clients’ comfort. We understand that sometimes you may be learning to love your body and may not be ready to share your images with the world, or that your photos may be intended only for your spouse’s eyes.

These are all valid reasons for not sharing your photos, and it ultimately depends on your personal preferences. As far as whether or not your images are shared, you have three options:

  1. You can opt-out of sharing your images by signing a release stating that none of your photos will be shared, and only you and the photographer will have access to them.
  2. You can sign a release allowing us to share all of your images on social media.
  3. Alternatively, you can choose to have your images shared only in our private Women’s VIP Group. This group is exclusive to women and is not accessible to the general public

Do you offer payment plans?

Our most sought-after payment plan is the PRE-PAYMENT PLAN. By booking your session up to a year in advance, you’ll receive free luxury bonuses to use during your session.

Our clients love this option because their images are already paid for by the time of their session, which reduces their stress levels by eliminating a large purchase all at once. Moreover, they receive their images back immediately!

Is wearing lingerie a requirement?

Wearing lingerie is not mandatory, and it ultimately depends on your comfort level and personal style. You can still achieve a sensual and confident look by incorporating everyday items from your wardrobe. Upon booking, we will provide you with a comprehensive guide featuring outfit ideas to help you prepare for your session.

Is post-processing/editing (photoshop) done on my images?

Yes, we do edit your images. We perform basic edits to enhance light and color. Following your selection of favorite images for purchase, we apply a glamour edit, which includes smoothing the skin and retouching any blemishes such as acne and bruises.

However, we believe in promoting self-acceptance and avoid removing parts of yourself that you may not be thrilled with, our policy is, if it’s permanent it stays. We use our expertise in posing to highlight your best features and make you feel confident and beautiful.

Where is your studio located?

Our studio is located in Titusville, Florida. We are 30 minutes from Orlando International airport and 20 minutes from the Kennedy Space center.

What can I do to soothe my nerves? I’m feeling really anxious!

Feeling nervous before your session is normal, which is why we provide a comprehensive experience at Boudoir By RDM Imagery. We offer a pre-session consultation to discuss your session and learn more about you. Additionally, we provide ample information leading up to the day of your session to help you feel more prepared.

When you arrive at our studio, our stylist will pamper you while you enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, which can help ease any nerves. Typically, within just five minutes of starting your session, you’ll begin to feel and look like a goddess, and any nerves you may have had will be forgotten.

Where can I purchase clothing or outfits?

Purchasing outfits for your session is not mandatory, however, it’s a great excuse to go shopping! When you book with us, we’ll send you a guide that includes outfit ideas and locations to purchase some of our favorite pieces. We’ve compiled a long list of options with different styles and sizes, including Amazon, Victoria’s Secret, Forever21, Torrid, Adoreme.com, SHEIN, Hips, and Curve.

What kinds of print products are available?

We provide a variety of products for you to choose from, with our Collections being the most popular among our clients. These Collections include luxury, handmade photo albums and metal prints. You can opt for either Collections or A La Carte to suit your preferences.

Is hair and makeup included?

At our studio, we consider it crucial to pamper you and make you feel special! That’s why we have an in-house hair and makeup artist who will glam you up before your session. This will give you a confidence boost and ensure that you look and feel your absolute best.

Our talented hair and makeup artist can assist you in achieving your desired look, whether you want to maintain a natural appearance or go all out with a full-on glamour look. Getting a makeover before your session is one of the best things you can do to have an amazing and confident shoot. You can even share your Pinterest ideas with our stylists before your shoot to help achieve your perfect look.

How many outfits should I bring?

Feel free to bring as many outfits as you’d like to your session. We will use at least 3 outfits during your boudoir photography session, you will also have the option to add additional outfits!
